Accessibility

The base area of Mt. Silver, Silver Town, may be entered through a western exit in the northern hall in the reception building that is stationed on Route 22. All 16 badges will be required to reach Mt. Silver through this passage.

Alternatively, the Train System may be used to travel to Silver Town. Once 16 badges have been obtained, any transportation point, including Silver Town, is reachable - assuming the player also has a transportation ticket or a train pass, to have access to the services.

Points of Interest

Aerial Tramway

Main Article: Aerial Tramway

Once you have obtained the required badges, the Aerial Tramway may be used to transport you to any tramway stop. The other four tramway stops are stationed in: Pewter City, Cerulean City, Ecruteak City, and Blackthorn City.

Silver Town

Silver Town is the base area of Mt. Silver that fields a Pokémon Center, a Pokémart, a research lab, and a train station. The research lab contains a shortcut NPC (not functional for everyone), allowing one to be warped to the 5th floor of Mt. Silver, provided that they completed its compulsory mini-quest.

Despite being slightly impotent in comparison to the interior of the cave and upper/lower mountainsides, it is a popular training area in its own right as well, due to the Pokémon Center being the most readily accessible from the area.

The train system is considerably the fastest, most luxurious form of reaching Silver Town.

Healing NPCs

Standalone healing NPCs, which exist independent from Pokémon Centers, offer paid-for healing services within the caves; this saves players an amount of on-foot travel between the Pokémon Center and their training spots.

Dr. John, on the 3rd floor, will offer to heal your on-hand Pokémon for PokémonDollar.png8,000; Professor Adena, on the 5th floor in front of the Summit's entrance, will offer on-entry healing services, to those who choose to enter the Summit to challenge Moltres. Since Adena only offers to heal Pokémon for those who have completed the quest partway, and because it's a one-time service from Adena due to having a one-off entry to the Summit, John is considered more resourceful as he is available, and reproducible, to those who have already entered the Summit.
